Description

Photo of the old County Courthouse in city center. It was a two-story building, Cupola-like structure at the front. 1891 in the front of the cupola. A group of men and women are on the stairs, porch and on the left of the building. A caisson with canon is in front as is a war memorial (Service). Caption: Island Co. Court House, Coupeville, WN. This building does not exist now. PNRO page: 206; courthouse was built in 1891 by H. B. Lovejoy. It was used until 1949 when the new courthouse was built on 7th and Main Streets. From folder: Coupeville, Courthouse and vault 1891.
