"The hanging lamp is over 100 years old. It was hanging in the home of Bert and Elizabeth Arnold when they bought it from the Schreck Estate about 1909. We used it to study by and until the electricity was available. When Ralph and I were married we took it and used it when our electricity would fail up til 1999. Undoubtedly it is well over 100 years old, and still useable. Gertrude Arnold Hose."
