Description

A photograph from the Penn Cove Water Festival shows one eleven man canoe. The head is to the left and the pullers are facing the photographer. The canoe is decorated with black and white checks along the gunwale. The Lovejoy boat yard can be seen in the far left distance. This means the wharf would be behind the viewer. The back of the photo states, "One of the 52' dugout Indian racing canoes at Coupeville. 8/9/1931."
