Description

Black and white photograph of an event during a water festival (1939 most likely- see other 1939 water festival pictures). Three Native American women in ceremonial dress dance upon an outdoor stage before an audience. On the far right is a piano where a Native American man stands thumping on a drum. People on the stage sit on benches or chairs around the dancers, whilst the rest of the audience stand on the ground below the stage (the backs of their heads in the foreground of the photo). Off center towards the left of the photo stands a long thin pole, its base not visible.
