Description

A dock seen from a distance with a steamer ferry docked. The wharf appears to have approximately three buildings on it. A smaller craft can bee seen close to the wharf. A forested coastline can be seen in the backgound. The ferry is to the right of the wharf. From accession book 68-11D: old dock with Fairhaven. From old entry: Coupeville dock--Fairhaven Boat at the first dock between Toby's and Seagull Rest. From 6811D entry (probably forgot the hyphen): Coupeville Dock, Fairhaven boat at the first dock between Toby's and Seagull Restaurant, Robertson's Dock MFC said "This dock had a scales at the land end. Horse and wagon could drive on scales before driving down dock and unloading". MFC said: This dock had a scales at the land end. Horse and wagon could drive on scales before driving down dock and unloading.
