"Chalk doll" made of plaster. White with red and gold paiting. Eyes are made of glued on paper material. Holes in both sides of head contain remnants of orange "hair". One of 2 dolls donated at the same time.
Reported to have been won by Maxene's father at a carnival game at Penn Cove Water Festival in Coupeville in the mid-1930's.
Donated by Maxene Varga, granddaughter of Ethel Coates Smith & in her honor. Maxene found the item in her grandparents attic - Smith House.Collection
