Black straw bonnet with feathers. Sits at the back of the head. Delicate condition. Two silken straps to tie around the neck beneath the chin. Lace around the rim of the bonnet (fraying). One strap is slightly detached. Rim part of the bonnet has separated from rounded part towards the top. Some feathers have become bleached due to age and use. Intermingled with the feathers is a feather-shaped lace decoration with sequins sewn on. Satin-like lining inside the bonnet, ruched.
