Photo of four people in an open car in snow. They are all bundled up in large coats, hats, furs.
The car has chains on the rear tires. Two sled/sleigh runners are attached to the front tires. A long shovel is attached to the side of the car. A large lamp is attached to the driver's side of the windscreen. There is no top. Possibly an extra gas tank is on the hood. On the back: Sheldon's Auto Stage. First short days ran 1238 miles - Chitma (?) to miner's then to rapids by double end sleigh about day and half, Rapids to town soft roads, causing lot of trouble and delay, 18 hours. The only method.
There was a Sheldons Auto Stage from Fairbanks in 1917.
