Maiden of Deception Pass carving. Wood carving of a mermaid painted in blue, green, black, red and white. Mermaid has long black and green striped hair with tail flipped up in front of her. Tail is green with blue scales and a black and red design on tip of tail. Mermaid upper body is white with blue arms and white hands holding a container in front with a black and white checkered design. Mermaid's face is white with black eyes and eye brows, blue face desgins around eyes and on cheeks, and red lips. There is a crack extending from top of head down into upper body of carving.Lexicon
