Outside view of the Alvah D. Blowers/Sewall House. In the image you can see the entrance of the house. In the foreground is two trees with the house standing in the background. Front of the house has a porch and many windows. There is also two chimneys visible. This house was built in 1874 for Alvin Blowers, a prominent businessman in the community. Blowers was a partner in Blowers & Kineth, president of Island County Bank, and held several positions in local government. The house has been remodeled over the years with the back porch and second story porch on the sound facade being enclosed, but view changes have been made to the front facade. During the 1920's, Dr. Marxim maintained both his office and residence in the building making alterations to the interior.
