Description

Woven military belt with metal gromets and metal clasp, likely World War II era. Found within a shed from Fort Casey (see below). No markings visible. Measures 2" wide x 43" long. Belt was donated by Bonnie Thie whose father (Lawrence) had found it in a shed he had been given permission by the military to move from Fort Casey to his property in 1980. His property was located on the norther edge of the old Fort Casey boundary & at this time is still property of the family (772 Cathedral Drive, Coupeville, WA). Lawrence used the structure as a tool shed. It was donated in 2017 to Ryan's House who has renovated it for use again as storage.
