This small compex was built by WIlliam B. Engle on his Donation Claim in teh early 1900's for a man that worked for him. A barn dating from the 1870's was used originally for horses and hay storage, and later used as a sheep shed. The only remains of this barn today are the main poles that were taken from the beach and used for the frame. The chicken house on the property was used by the Japanese and Chinese renters, and later on it became a tool shed. The grainery along the road was built by Engle for the farm in the late 1870s'early 80's. Waldrip, a relative of Engle, lived in the house for a time. It was last used c. 1923-24, but remains in the Engle family. 1995: One contributing building; two contributing structures.
