"Langley Dock, Whidby Island, WN. Str, Atalanta." This picture shows the Langley wharf with the steamer Atalanta boarding passengers. The view is seen from atop a hill. There are five buildings on land and a building on the wharf. Two smaller boats are anchored in the water, this side of the wharf. The bow of the steamer is facing the viewer and there is a large plume of steam drifting to the right. Tree branches frame the picture. A road can be seen leading from the wharf up a hill away from the viewer.
