Photograph of group of a family: a man, woman, 4 girls and 2 boys. On the back: The Lenz family. They are seated or standing on a porch in front of a wood sided building. Two corn husk bundles are hanging on the building. The woman has a long dress with lace at the collar and a ruffle near the hem. Her hair is pulled straight back with a part. The man is wearing a dark suit and has a beard. The girl on the left is wearing a checked dress with pinafore, the girl in the center a checked dress with bow, the girl seated in front a striped dress and bow in her hair and the girl standing on the right a dress with large lace collar and a bow in her hair. The boy in back is wearing a dark coat and the baby/toddler is seated on the woman's lap and is wearing a baby gown and hat. The original photo is silver gelatin. Older lady is Louisa Lenz and her husband. The young boy between the parents is Charles Lenz. In Langley he owned Lenz Garage. It was near a bluff- there was so much room behind that they could play basketball. Currently the building is held up with pilings and the earth is only under half the building. The blonde girl on the right is Emma Lenz. That was Tiny's dad's mother (grandmother) who she never met. Fred Lenz is on the lap of Louisa.
Photo likely taken in Virginia or Kansas- Louisa's husband was not alive when they moved to Whidbey. He may have been crippled.Made/Created
