Description

Photograph a man and woman sitting in a living room. She is wearing a shirt and long skirt and is seated at an upright piano with mjsic open. He is sitting in an armchair and is wearing a cardigan, tie and trousers and is reading a book. A lamp hangs in the middle. A door is between them. Lace curtains on the window. Patterned rug on floor. Occasional table with flowers. Three more chairs, two with pillows/cushions. Portrait photos above the pump organ. Wooden ceiling with a beam. Door on the far right. This is the interior of the Lenz Hotel which was built in 1906/7. They had Christian religious meetings in the home- the Two By Two group- they always went out in twos to preach the gospel. The hotel burnt down in 1932. On the back: Marie & Fred seated at Hotel Lenz Parlor The original photo is silver gelatin.
