Stone projectile point, basalt, dark grey, broken in half (a & b).
Worked on all sides. Long sides are smoothed to a slanted bevel, one end (part a) worked to a point with very tip broken, othe end (part b) worked to a bevel.
Received by ancestor (son or grandson) of person who found it as item has been passed down in the family. When received both pieces glued to felt and inside a glass frame. Attached was a hand written note in pencil that appears to have been with the item for quite some time:
"Found by Bill Van Wieringer while plowing a field of the Power farm in San De Fuca, WA somtime in late 1920's or early 1930's. Both pieces were found the same day in the same field about 20 feet apart. The field is the one west of the Power house and west of the ditch with water running south to Penn Cove."Lexicon
