Description

Street-level view of Alexander blockhouse. The blockhouse is two levels with the second story level longer and wider than the first level. It is sided with planks and the roof is shingled. The cross in a protective shell in the foreground is from missionaries in 1840. To the left is a canoe shed that holds several canoes. Written on the front: W157 OLD BLOCKHOUSE ERECTED IN 1885 BY JOHN ALEXANDER SR. COUPEVILLE, WASH. In lower right corner is the word Webber.
