Notice and Summons from the District Court of the United States to Lester Still, "Jane Doe Still", William J. Buhler, and Sophia Buhler.Context
This notice and summons is in context to "condemn and appropriate all of the property hereinafter described to the use and purposes of the United States of America, and to acquire, in the name of and for the United States of America, title and ownership of the property here-inafter described, and each particular part and parcel thereof, for military purposes of the United States."
The land described for condemnation and appropriation for military purposes by the United States is: "a tract located on the West side of Whidby Island, fronting on Washington Sound at a point approximately three miles West of San de Fuca and in the vicinity of Swanton, described as Lot 2, Section 6, Township 32 North, Range 1 East of the Willamette Meridian, in Island County, State of Washington, containing 25.75 acres, more or less" and "A tract located on Middle Point, approximately four miles West and one mile North of the city of Port Townsend, bordering on the Straits of Juan de Fuca, and described as the West twenty (20) acres of Lot 3, Section 32, Township 31 North, Range 1 West of the Willamette Meridian, in Jefferson County, State of Washington."Collection
