Black and white photograph of the parade during a water festival (1943?). A long dark car with three windows along the side drives through the street carrying a canoe on its roof. A woman's head peeps out of the middle window. Above are three water festival posters strung up, each identical and giving dates of the event (Aug 11-12 1943). In the foreground, off-center, is the upper half of a Native American young woman wearing a sort of floral dress/top and a decorative namd on the head. Her forehead is wrinkled and she holds a book in her left hand.Collection
