The caption reads, ‘Casa Marina (The House by the Sea)  The latest of the Florida East Coast Hotel Company’s (Flagler System) chain of rest hotels picturesquely located on the South Shore of Key West island overlooking the iridescent waters of the Florida Straits; excellent fishing; delightful climate; unusual sea view; all rooms outside.  Key West, Florida.  Now Open European Plan.  L. P. Schutt, Manager.  Season 1922 operating on American Plan.  (Ahora al estito Americano).  Rates $7.00 to $9.00 per Day.’  The message on the verso reads, ‘Dear Marie:  Look what I found in old junk near the University of Conn.!  Thought of you when I saw it.  I’m loving this area!!  Went to Boston today – shopped & walked through downtown of Cambridge.  We had frost 2 nights in a row – the leaves have already begun to turn – bright yellow & scarlet.  Clear cool sunny days, cold crisp nights.  Great trip so far.  Tell you more when I get home – probably in November sometime.
