This is the two mile historic island of Key West, originally purchased by John Simonton of the United States from Don Pablo Salas of Havana, Cuba. Key West became a city in 1828. It was previously a haunt for wreckers, pirates and fishermen. The view from Old Mallory Square in the foreground from the Gulf of Mexico in the north to the Atlantic Ocean in the south.' The message on the verso reads, 'Historic view of Key West in the 1950s?'
