Scope and Content

A collection of some 63 letters from Walter L. Cook, Director, Student Field Education at Bangor Theological Seminary to Margaretta Thurlow, and her responses to him. BTS was supplying pastors to United Christian Church during the years of the correspondence, 1967-1986, and Dr. Cook would introduce the next week's "supply" as the student pastors were called in a letter. During the week following the supply's stint in the pulpit, Margaretta would write a critique of the student's sermon, etc. Letters are stored in a folding file folder; folder contains some misc. notes and other items from Margaretta's own church correspondence.
