February 14, 1874 issue of The Camden Herald pencil-written name at top of subscriber: Abner Dunton of Hope "Deaths-In Lincolnville, 11th inst., Mr. Peleg Pendleton, aged 84 years." story about Ducktrap kiln and horse-drawn railroad: "A Lincolnville correspondent writes that a new lime kiln has been contracted for at Duck Trap to be built for a new company just forming there. Another will probably be built in a short time. The timber for the horse railroad from the Colman [sic] quarries is now being hauled. A singing school at Centre Lincolnville numbering nearly seventy five has been successfully running during the winter under the leadership of Mr. B. F. Young."
