Scope and Content

Box 1 of the Helen Higgins letters are dated 1861-1871. Three Civil War letters are included in these as well as a letter dated 1861 written from Chelmsford on special Union stationery. The box contains 52 items, mostly letters, but some Westbrook memorabilia.
