a fund-raising calendar which originally benefited the Fire Department, but in later years, thanks to LHS president Jackie Watts, was sold to benefit the Historical Society. A volunteer in each section of town solicited her neighbors who ordered the calendar each year, sometimes ordered several to send to their out-of-state kids. Each family member's birthday was listed on the proper day. A list of local business who bought ads each year made the calendar a handy reference for L'ville folks. The calendar often hung by the phone.
