L to R: Lorena Berryman (McGraw), Myra Berryman (Avery), Emelyn Berryman (Hicks); in front: Gladys E. Kyle (Shore). The Berryman girls were granddaughters of Mary J. Berryman and Charles Berryman, who raised them. Gladys Kyle was the daughter of Susie M. Walker & William J. Kyle. They all lived on West Main St. near Santa Cruz Ave. The Berryman girls were nieces of Nell Berryman, of Nell Clare Dress Shop at 53 N. Santa Cruz Ave. They were also first cousins of Alice Berryman (Burrows), whose father owned Berryman Plumbing at 32 N. Santa Cruz Avenue. William Kyle was proprietor and baker of Kyles' Capitola Bakery at #5 Santa Cruz Ave., which later moved to 100 N. Santa Cruz Ave. in the Kyle Building, facing Bean Ave. SHU126
