A photograph of Harry Cole, BS&C Watchman sounding the alarm, not wasting time for phone calls, etc., the alarm is answered directly by Mahwah Fire Company. There were 32 volunteers from the Mahwah Fire companies No. 1 & 2 and the Brake Shoe Fire Brigade participating. The drill was held at the Mahwah Plant on August 3rd, 1954 at 7:00 pm.
