Description

The hat and keys were owned by Martin Losi (1900-1947). Donated by his grandaughter, Carol Dayo. From Carol: His name was Martin T. Losi born in Piacenza Italy around 1900. He came to America with his father, mother and siblings at a very young age. He lived in Newark NJ where here married Julia Cardillo and had 2 daughters, Gloria and Rita. He died at age 47 so I don't know much about him except he worked for the RR. He must have worked for the Erie RR in Newark in the 1930"s and 1940's. He raised his family bought a house while working for the Erie RR. He was my mother Gloria's father and she just recently passed away and I found the hat and was hoping I could donate it, so I'm very thankful you can use it. I wish I had a picture of him in his uniform. If I come across one I'll send it. Please let me know if there is anything else I can tell you.
