Painted and built up by Alan Bonds, in the 2000s. Alan would build up many old Schwinns like this one in the 1970s for the burgeoning off-road crowd. These frames were made for the big "balloon" tires popular during the 1930s and 40s. Alan would faithfully paint them in the old two-tone Schwinn "spear-point," "rams head," and "feather head" paint schemes. This bike sports the feather heads that usually came with the B. F. Goodrich-branded Schwinns.
