An issue of Leslie's Weekly Illustrated, Vol. LXXXIX No. 2288. It was copyrighted by the Judge Company on 110 Fifth Avenue and published in New York on July 20, 1899. The cover has an illustration of soldiers on a ship, and one of them is blind with a cane, with the caption "The Pathetic Side of The Happy Home-coming of Our Volunteers, the brave soldier who lost his eyesight in the Philippines. Thinks of the welcome, which awaits him at the home which he shall never see again.
