Ornament sent as a sample prior to the National McKinley Birthplace Memorial ordering its centennial ornaments. The ornament is metal, with a colored etching of the monastery of the Immaculate Conception (Ferdinand, Indiana) in color on the front. The monastery is surrounded by an ovoid arch with the text "Ferdinand, Indiana" across the top. "Monastery Immaculate Conception 1867-2017" is written on a banner across the bottom. The back of the ornament is plain. The box is black, and features an engraving of the ornament in silver. The back of the box is plain. The interior of the box is molded plastic velveteen. The distinctive, recently-restored Romanesque dome, rises majestically over the town of Ferdinand, standing at 87 feet from the floor and 32 and a half feet in diameter. Throughout the church, 89 angels are present, 16 of which are depicted on the stained glass windows surrounding the dome. The church is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has been designated an Official Project of Save America's Treasures. The Monastery gift shop, "For Heaven's Sake", offers handmade crafts from the sisters and other unique spiritual merchandise. The Kordes Center, also on the Monastery grounds, offers a peaceful and rejuvenating getaway.
