Presidential foodways are places where culture, history, cooking, eating, and the Presidency intersect, which involves a lot of moving parts, as well as how those parts apply and interact with each other. Miller does this by using anecdotes involving Afrian Americans. These anecdotes where pulled from 200 years of presidential history. The story is told from the perspective of African Americans cooks.
