Description

40 Knollwood was one of the original Hartshorn Homes. It was constructed c. 1880 by Lamb and Wheeler. Transfer of deed was made by Stewart Hartshorn to Alice Haswell in 1880. The house was called "The Anchorage." It featured prominently in the earliest representations of Short Hills Park and was featured in Bucknell & Comstock's pattern book.
