Linfield was constructed for Stephen M. Linington at 365 Hobart Avenue in Short Hills in 1911. The architect was James E. Ware and Sons. The home was featured in The November 15, 1911 issue of The American Architect. The house was also pictured in American Homes & Gardens, November 1913. Previous owners were: Robert D.
