Photo from "American Architect and Building News," January 7, 1882. From the article: "A feature of this house is a low arch off the stair-landing through which the studio is seen. The stairs are of bamboo, while the hall is finished in rough-cast plaster...The exterior is to be stained deep yellow at peak of gable and grade into bronze green and then into deep indian-red at base."
