Studio photograph of Emilie Benson Welsh in her Wedding Gown taken by Frederick's Photography Studio, Broadway, New York City. Inscription on verso of photograph reads: "Glad for it all"(?) October 2, 1885 by the Bride. Emilie Benson Welsh, wife of Lt. Blanton C. Welsh, 15th U.S.Infantry in her wedding gown. Married October 2, 1885 in Episcopal Church, Millburn, NJ by Rev. Julius D. Rose D.D. L.L. D. Their daughter Emilie was married in the same gown--white ivory satin brocaded front to Lt. Paul Felton Wiggin Air (?) Service (A.E.F. World War). The gown had to be enlarged in sleeves and bodice, used lining of (??) as was of same material as gown.
