This hanging mask of a female face peeks through a stylized leaf design on either side of the face. A branch with a loop of vine is glazed gold leaf above and below the face. The whole motif is setting on a round form in the shape of a jar lid. Gray speckled glaze with blue highlights are seen in the grooves of the leaves and face. There is a wire hanger on the back. It is signed “Sibley” on the back. The mask is typical of Sibley’s work in creating imaginative garden accoutrements.Artwork Details
