Place Description

A historic Palestinian locality in Al Naqab, situated approximately 50 kilometers south of Bir Saba within the northern Naqab landscape. The locality is associated with the ancient Nabataean settlement of ʿAbda, known in the Roman period as Oboda, reflecting the long history of settlement and movement through the Naqab along routes connecting southern Palestine with the Sinai and Arabian Peninsula.
