A historic Palestinian locality in the Naqab district, associated with the Najamat section of the Tarabin tribal lands. The 1945 land tables record 1,145 dunums associated with Abu Athera; the available agricultural records do not identify particular crops for the locality, so its agricultural landscape is best understood within the wider Naqab region, where rain-fed cultivation and grazing formed important uses of the land.
