A historic Palestinian locality in the Bir Saba district, associated with the Ghawali of the Tarabin tribal lands in the northern Naqab. The surrounding landscape was characterized by extensive tribal lands where agriculture was concentrated in the higher-rainfall northern and western parts of the Bir Saba district, with wheat and barley among the principal crops and grazing an important part of the rural economy.
