Place Description

A historic Palestinian village in the southern Baysan Valley, situated approximately 7.5 km from Baysan and overlooking the Jordan River about 8 km to the east, with the Baysan–Jericho highway passing through its western lands and ancient archaeological tells nearby. Its fertile lands and abundant water supported grain, oranges, olives, and vegetables, with cereals occupying the overwhelming majority of the cultivated land and the surrounding valley providing conditions for both agriculture and livestock raising.
