A historic Palestinian community in the Baysan Valley founded by a branch of the Arab al-Ghazzawiyya Bedouin tribe. Its inhabitants developed a settled agricultural community while retaining elements of pastoral life, cultivating grain, fruit, and vegetables and raising livestock on lands near the Jordan Valley.
