A historic Palestinian village southwest of Jerusalem, situated among terraced hills, springs, orchards, and the valley of Wadi Ahmad. One of the largest villages in the Jerusalem region, its diverse Muslim and Christian population was organized through several extended family groups and supported a rich network of agricultural, educational, religious, and social institutions.
