Dear Carl,
So happy about the brown eggs. I cannot tell you how much I enjoyed the persimmons. They were superb. There was only one that was unripe, which I carried with me to Amsterdam and Berlin and which I finally ate a few days ago at Christmas.
I have forwarded your comments on the prospective purchasers. Please give Barry our belated birthday wishes. How extraordinary that he should be 40. I cannot believe it.
I am glad you saw my Sister. Mitta seems to be growing up beautifully. We were very pleased with our family reunion. Thank you for the receipt of the oil bill.
Do ring up Dinner Levison (the old Erlanger Insurance) -391 5422- and see if we are covered for the mirror. We may be and in any case it should be replaced.
Love to you and Ruth and best wishes for the New Year,
