This photo is a copy of a drawing done by a Mr. Gifford of San Jose, who did a second drawing in about 1885.
The picture is dated by the South Pacific Coast Railroad of 1878 and the absence of the two story addition to the flour mill in 1880. Los Gatos, California 1878-1880 - Showing the thrid bridge over the Los Gatos Creek for Main Street. Also the original 4 story building built by James Alexander Forbes, his Santa Rosa Brand Flour Mill of 1855. Later from 1863-1887 the flour mill was called the Los Gatos Manufacturing Company.Language
