A decorative, commemorative plate depicting the overland mail stage station in San Luis Obispo in 1875. The center of the plate depicts a scene with a wooden structure off to the right with a flag on a flagpole next to it, a stagecoach being pulled by horses in the background, and people and horses gathering near a well in the center. Around the rim of the plate are various embossed depictions of California history, including a ship, cacti, missionaries, covered wagons, and trains.Collection
