A decorative, commemorative plate depicting Cabrillo landing in San Diego in 1542. The center of the plate depicts a scene with a man in armor being rowed ashore in a small boat. There are two ships out at sea in the background, and three native people on the land in the foreground. Around the rim of the plate are various embossed depictions of California history, including a ship, cacti, missionaries, covered wagons, and trains.Collection
