Description

Full mount taxidermied specimen of a Sora (Porzana carolina). The specimen is standing on a white mount. Its wings are closed and its head is slightly tilted toward the right. The main body of the feathers are dark brown with white and black markings throughout. There is a stray feather on its right wing. Its neck is grey, its beak is yellow, and there is a patch of black on its face between the eyes and beak. Its feet are large with long thin toes. Family: Rallidae Genus: Porzana Species: Porzana carolina
