FIRST PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH / Los Gatos, Calif. / The First Presbyterian Church of Los Gatos, California, was organized in 1881 with 23 members. Pictured is its second building, the main portion of which was constructed in 1888. Three additions were made through the years and the entire edifice was remodeled in 1938. This structure was the home of the growing congregation until 1953 when its 731 members erected a more adequate building at a new location. This reproduction, which has become beloved by the congregation, is made from a photograph taken by Nottley Stever Hammack, minister of the church since February 1939.Language
