Note

Toledo, a walled medieval city in Spain rises from the stone like a sculpture. As in the middle ages, stone sharpeners roam the streets with their carts calling out to the residents, synagogues dating to the 12th and 14th centuries coexist with Catholic churches. Some streets are only wide enough for pedestrians or one small car and the experience is one of time travel to the middle ages.
